Mansfield 2.0: Assured Experiences for 21st Century Students

The Mansfield Public Schools project, Mansfield 2.0: Assured Experiences for 21st Century Students brings together a district team made up of Grade 4 classroom teachers, Grade 7 classroom teachers, Grade 8 classroom teachers, Library Media Specialists, Special Education staff, Enrichment staff, ELL staff, Technology Coordinators and Administrators. The team will work with RESC Technology Specialists and other nationally recognized experts to design and deliver three technology-rich assured experiences (one at each grade level) that infuse 21st Century Skills into existing curriculum with adaptations to meet the needs of all students. The project will serve approximately 120 students at Grade 4, 145 students at Grade 7 and 160 students at Grade 8 (total 425 students) . The project design includes 50 hours of intensive professional development for teaching staff, arrangements for staff to visit other schools using assured experiences, a coaching component to help with delivery of the assured experiences, an 8 hour professional development strand for district administrators, and a Parent Internet Safety course. We are using this Wiki to organize the project and post relevant links. You can check back frequently to see our progress.
